From Typewriters to AI
For decades, the Moni translation team labored over typewriters and carbon copy paper to bring God's Word to a remote people group in the jungles of Papua. The complete New Testament is finished, and the Old Testament is close, but the finish line still seemed years away. Then, in the span of 48 hours, two unexpected phone calls connected an Indonesian-speaking AI expert with a Wycliffe contact, and suddenly a 2030 deadline started looking very different. Setbacks including the death of team members, illness, and a nearly blinding cataract condition for the team leader have not stopped what God is doing. This is a story about divine timing, modern technology, and a people group on the verge of receiving their complete Bible. Read the full update and find out how you can pray and be part of it.
